 General Meeting - the First Wednesday of each month at 6:30 at the First Congregational Church, 30 Main St., Binghamton.

Week of July 10 – Tell Your Story - Social Media Campaign targeting local Congressional Representatives.  Come in anytime on Thursday July 13 beginning at 11:00 to work on this campaign.  In the meantime post your story on your facebook page using #FacesofMedicaid  #SaveOurCare  #medicaidnotmillionaires   Also tweet your story to Claudia Tenney  @claudiatenney  IN SUMMARY – POST, TWEET, AND COME TO CITIZEN ACTION ON THURSDAY. 

Monday, July 10 – 6:00 just before the PLOT meeting at Citizen Action – preliminary meeting to discuss the questions that will be asked of the Binghamton School Supertendent when she comes on July 31.  We will prepare a list of thoughtful, introspective questions to gauge and ensure that our local school system is serving all of its students to the best of its capacity. For information contact Monique Saastamoinen at 213-357-2120

(CANCELLED - TO BE RESCHEDULED) Wednesday, July 12 – 6:00- 7:30 - Resistance Movement Coordinating Committee meeting at Citizen Action.  For information call Mary Clark, 607-723-0110.

Saturday July 15 – 11:00- 1:00 –“Coffee with Claudia” at Binghamton office, Metrocenter Binghamton.  Assemblywoman Tenney is holding small group (no more than 5 at a time) with constituents who register ahead of time – to register call her New Hartford office at 315-732-0713.

Saturday, July 15 – 11:00-1:00 – we will be having a silent protest in the Metrocenter courtyard – wear black and bring a creative sign.  For information call Mary Clark at 607-723-0110.

Monday, July 17 – 6:00 before and during the PLOT meeting at Citizen Action.  The wonderfully talented Aviva and Amber will be leading a training on "How to Make a Flyer & Embedded Emails for Beginners". This presentation will be projected on the big screen so you can see how it's done, and you can bring your laptop if you want to practice afterwards.   For information contact Monique Saastamoinen at 213-357-2120

Monday July 24 – PLOT will be meeting at 6:00 at Citizen Action.  PLOT will host a special guest speaker Brenda Cave-James, a local historian and founder of the 'Trav'lin This Road' cultural performance ensemble. Her presentation will cover the history of African American's in the Binghamton area. There is a rich history that I, for one, am very excited to learn more about firsthand!
